How to Earn the Trust of Online Purchasers?

by admin | November 10th, 2007

Selling a product or a service that involves online payments can be difficult sometimes, especially when people don’t trust you , so what should we do in this case? How can we gain the trust of potential buyers? Here are 10 things you can do to increase their trust in you.

online-purchase.jpg

1. Offer Your Contact Information.

Providing your contact information is one of the most important step if you want to achieve your goal. First of all, it helps them to see you as a real person or business rather than someone shady who is hiding behind a website. Second, it makes it easier for them to get in touch with you when they have something to ask or concerns.

2. Provide a Money-Back Guarantee.

A money-back guarantee isn’t appropriate or possible for every type of sale online, but when possible it can be one of the most effective ways to relieve apprehension from potential buyers.

3. Free Trials or Demos.

Certain products have done very well by offering a trial or a demo that shows the value and potential of the product without requiring an immediate commitment from the buyer. You will have to convince users that they need to buy the full version.

4. Display Testimonials from Customers.

If you have happy customers, be sure to let your visitors know about them. Solicit testimonials from satisfied customers and display them on your website where they will be easily seen to build your credibility.

5. Have an “About Us” Page.

Give visitors some basic information about your company’s history and operations. This can also helps to ease the fears of those who are not familiar with you and your services.

6. Provide a Privacy Policy.

Provide a written privacy policy that shows visitors that you take their privacy seriously and you will not abuse the information that you receive.

7. Have a Professional-Looking Website.

If you want to have a reputable business selling products online, your customers will expect you to look professional. The look of your website will have a subtle influence on the visitor’s perception of you.

8. Eliminate Typos, Spelling Mistakes, and Grammatical Errors.

This goes along with looking professional. Any professional business will do its best to avoid these mistakes. Having a website full of typos can make you look like someone working from his mom’s basement trying to make a quick buck online. That’s not an image that comforts potential buyers.

9. Don’t Throw Any Surprises.

As your visitors are moving through the online buying process they don’t want to be unpleasantly surprised by such items as shipping costs and unexpected fees. To earn their trust, provide this information up front before they start the purchase and they’ll be less likely to back out. Throwing surprises makes it look like your trying to hide some of the details.

WidgetsBucks got banned from Google Adsense!

by admin | October 28th, 2007

Widgetbucks got banned from Google Adsense because they were hiding text links behind the ads. That is a bad thing , because they are earning a lot of money by cheating on us. To see i’m not bluffing , all you have to do is to find your Widgetbucks on your site and try to temporary disable the javascript on your internet browser. After that, check the site again and you’ll see that the animation ads has gone and it was replaced with a small text link.

No wonder they got banned from Google. If you are one of their publishers, I hope they will still pay you once you reach the minimum payments guys.

The internet marketers have been hesitating email marketing tools as they were afraid of spam declarations. New strategies of search engine optimization is adjoined to adsense marketing but pay per click advertising is though classic one but effective yet.

by admin | October 27th, 2007

To be honest with you , i didn’t know that there will be any Google PR update today , but i’ve found out after reading my mails. I had some interesting results at this update, but the most important thing is i realised that working a little harder will bring better results, and that’s what i’m going to do.

googlepagerank.jpgDo you remember the last PR update , when Problogger and Copyblogger were ranked with PR4 after having PR6 ? Well, Google might have messed up the update for some websites but they’ve fixed the problem now. Copyblogger and Problogger regained their PR 6 back.

Is everybody satisfied with this update ?

9 Ways to Monetize Your RSS Feeds

by admin | October 16th, 2007

rss_feeds_monetization_a.jpgI know you want to show off your RSS feed numbers now that Feedburner allows those numbers to be shown through their API or chicklet interface but your first have to increase RSS readership, If a person is reading your posts though a third-party reader, they are missing out of all that on-site advertising that you have worked so hard at blending and positioning correctly. All those readers see is the text of your post. Nothing else. So , you need to do something , because the rss feed can be well monetized if you work a little harder.

1. Text-Link-Ads Feedvertising - the largest text ad seller on the internet which can also sell ways to integrate those same types of ads into your RSS feed, providing you are running Wordpress 2.0+.

2. Feedburner Ads seems to be truly available to those with very decent Feedburner statistics so if you don’t have high RSS reader numbers it’s best you won’t use it.

3. Q-Ads - is a unique way for you to embed ads anywhere you can place a picture (in your blog post, on your website, in your RSS feed) . This is the first time i write about this services so if you want more details just check these sites.

4. MediaFed specializes in a range of products to publish, measure, read and generate revenue from RSS feeds. Their Ad Placer solution allows publishers to generate revenue by inserting advertisements into their RSS feeds.

5. Kanoodle - has been around for quite some time now, i would feel quite comfortable putting my RSS advertising into their hands.

6. Pheedo

Pheedo

Pheedo is all about the RSS marketplace. Their business model works fully around making your RSS profitable. It offers 3 different “levels” to place ads into your RSS. It works flawlessly with most Wordpress or TypePad accounts, even if you are using the ever popular Feedburner service. 7 & 8. Google AdSense and Yahoo Publisher Network are the two largest PPC services out there and they both have their own beta versions of feed advertising available to a select few.

Hope this info was very useful and give me your feedback if you agree or have something more to add. Please let us know if a service that i wrote about , isn’t as good as it says.

This subject can be debated over and over again, but I think you shouldn’t start an aggressive advertisement campaign from the the very beginning, you need to be very careful about the type of ads you display. You need to make sure that the ads you’re displaying are both relevant to the visitor and mesh well with your blog design, or you will have very disappointing results.

Even if you have 50 or 5000 uniques a day , if your advertisements are targeted toward your audience you have pretty solid chance at making some real money.

Can Anyone Make Money From Blogging?

by admin | September 13th, 2007

There are a lot of people that doens’t know the answer to this question. Chris Garret has a very interesting article regarding this subject, he tries to answer this question in a way that everybody should understand.

“Anyone could make money from blogging but only a percentage of people actually go all the way and succeed. Critical to success is having staying power, not being defeated by minor setbacks, being willing to put yourself out there and put in the hard work. If you stick to it and can do all those things then yes, I am sure anyone can do it.” Chris Garret

He came up with a list of reasons why many who try don’t make much money blogging :

1. Not enough time

As Chirs writes , it is hard work and takes time on an ongoing basis, and if you have a family or an important job that is getting even harder.

2. To be persistent is the key

Don’t have the impression that blogging is a way to instant rich, no no no , you have to work hard for at least 1 year even if you won’t get instant rewards , keep being persistent and you’ll see that time solves everything. The rewards come months down the line after building traffic, reputation and reader involvement steadily day by day.

3. There is more than just writing

As we well know, blogging is about writing but a professional blogger, or any blogger who wants readers, has to do more than just write. You have to put you and your blog out there, communicate with people where they are and not expect them to know everything about you.

4. Money doesn’t come easily

Maybe you are making a good deal of money out of adsense, and good luck to you if your adsense income is enough. A lot of bloggers get disheartened when they don’t see big amounts coming from adsense so give up. After optimising your adsense you need to start going out and getting the cash in yourself. There are things like merchandise through companies like cafepress. Think of what your readers might be interested in buying and find a way to provide it.
